STANLEY PLAYS DOWN HEART SCARE

LATEST: KISS rocker PAUL STANLEY has played down the recent heart scare which forced him to pull out of a concert in California, insisting he's had the condition most of his life.

The 55-year-old guitarist's doctors advised him not to perform on Friday (28Jul07) after paramedics were forced to stop and restart his heart.

Kiss played the Sobaba Casino gig without Stanley, while he recovered in a local hospital.

But Stanley is refusing to let the incident slow him down.

He says, "Like many, I have had a rapid heartbeat condition most of my life and I never have had any type of restrictions.

"When I've had an episode, although momentarily disrupting and taxing, it has no residual effect.

"This is nothing new and my doctors have known about it. In short, it doesn't change, hasn't changed and won't change my life."
