SORUM SCARED ABOUT THE END OF VELVET REVOLVER

VELVET REVOLVER star MATT SORUM fears the end of the rock supergroup because he doesn't think he has the strength in him to start again in another band.

The former The Cult and Guns N' Roses drummer admits he was scared when the tensions in Velvet Revolver reared up as the band started work on their second album Libertad - because he thought a split was imminent.

He recalls, "We weren't getting along. There was moments when I didn't think the band was going to last, which is my greatest fear. I don't think I have another band in me.

"But then we looked at each other and we said, 'Let's not f**k this one up.'"

Sorum admits he briefly worried Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland would leave the band and reform Stone Temple Pilots after reconciling his differences with former bandmates Robert and Dean DeLeo. He quickly realised that wasn't going to happen.

The drummer tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I don't think the world's f**king biding their time, waiting for Stone Temple Pilots to reform."
