Sixties pop icon PETER NOONE's clean-cut image landed him a lot of lovely ladies - because he stole his peers' girlfriends while they were shooting up.

The Herman's Hermits star admits he used to hang out with Rolling Stones star Brian Jones because he was "a chick magnet," and he soon learned mixing drugs with girls wasn't clever.

Noone recalls, "At parties he (Jones) would go into the other room and smoke dope. Then I would talk to the chicks. I would steal his girlfriends.

"People in those days who did drugs would go into a separate room. Most of the girls back then didn't do any drugs.

"All these guys thought I was so lame for not going in to do the drugs. Truth was, I would do their girlfriends while they were in there."
