BECKHAM TO OPEN LA BOUTIQUE?

SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM is hoping to open a designer clothes store in her new hometown of Los Angeles, according to reports.

The 33-year-old singer has enlisted the help of celebrity pals Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria in setting up the shop on the city's trendy Melrose Avenue, selling items from her dVb range of jeans, sunglasses and handbags.

A source tells British newspaper The People, "Victoria wants to ensure she is as much of a fashion icon in the States as in the U.K. and this seems the ideal way to do it... if Victoria pulls it off it will do wonders to boost her status."
