QUINTO AND NIMOY TO PLAY TWO SPOCKS IN NEW STAR TREK MOVIE

HEROES actor ZACHARY QUINTO has been unveiled as the new MR SPOCK in the forthcoming STAR TREK prequel - and he'll star alongside the original LEONARD NIMOY.

The announcement was made at San Diego's Comic-Con where Quinto appeared onstage with JJ Abrams, who will direct the new movie, which will chart the early years of the USS Enterprise's crew.

The pair then welcomed Nimoy - a surprise guest - and revealed he will also appear in the movie.

When asked why he agreed to reprise his most famous role - Nimoy joked with the crowd, using one of the Vulcan's catchphrases: "People keep asking me why I'm doing this movie. The answer is, well, it was logical."
