YELLOW CARPET OUT FOR THE SIMPSONS
Animated movie THE SIMPSONS had its world premiere in the family's newly-adopted hometown of Springfield, Vermont on Saturday (21Jul07).

Actors dressed as Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie walked a specially-made yellow carpet at the Springfield Theater in front of thousands of fans
The Simpsons creator Matt Groening enthused, "As Homer would say, 'Woo-hoo.'"
The Vermont town beat 13 other Springfields across the U.S. to host the premiere.
