Actor PIERCE BROSNAN is following in the footsteps of RINGO STARR and ALEC BALDWIN by narrating children's TV classic THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE.
The former James Bond actor will swap his Astin Martin for a steam train to become the latest celebrity to provide the voiceover for the railway show.
Brosnan, who has already recorded his first scenes for a new series, has signed a three year contract for three TV series' and three DVD specials.
He says, "I am thrilled by the opportunity to be the narrator of this beloved series, following in the shoes of so many famous names and helping introduce Thomas and friends to many more generations of children."
