STINSON THANKS FANS FOR AUCTION INTEREST
GUNS N' ROSES bass player TOMMY STINSON has thanked fans who helped him raise $13,000 (GBP6,500) for his sister-in-law as she fights for her life following a brutal family murder tragedy.
Hilary Kruger and her son Zak were spared when an intruder broke into the family Minnesota home in February (07) and killed her husband Tracy and the couple's young son Alec.
Kruger is still in critical condition following the awful attack, and Stinson is convinced the cash raised from a recent eBay online auction will help "get her and her son, Zak, back on their feet."
In a posting on his website, the bassist writes, "They have a long and very difficult road ahead of them."
Stinson gathered a series of autographed Guns N' Roses items for the eBay auction - and fans left him amazed with their interest.
He states, "I'd like to thank all the GN'R fans out there for making the eBay charity auction a huge success. The (signed) guitar and jerseys made over $13,000! My family is forever grateful to you all for the love and support you have given."
Soul Asylum and Golden Smog headlined a benefit concert in June (07) to raise more funds for the family.
