CONRAD BLACK FOUND GUILTY
Media tycoon CONRAD BLACK has been found guilty on three charges of fraud and one charge of obstructing justice.
The Chicago, Illinois jury reached their verdict on Friday (13Jul07) and convicted the peer of embezzling $6 million (GBP3 million) from shareholders.
His UK passport has been confiscated, and he has been ordered to remain in Chicago until sentencing.
Black, former owner of British broadsheet The Telegraph, now has until Thursday (19Jul07) to consult defence team lawyers about bail proceedings.
The sentencing will take place in November (07) - he faces a possible 35 years in prison.
Black was cleared of nine further charges for tax evasion and racketeering.
