CLIJSTERS WEDS BASKETBALL ACE

Former tennis ace KIM CLIJSTERS has wed her basketball player beau BRIAN LYNCH in her hometown of Bree, Belgium.

The pregnant sports star, 24, and Lynch married in a civil ceremony on Friday morning (13Jul07), before a religious ceremony the following day (14Jul07).

Bree town official Lidia Seerra says, "Kim Clijsters and Brian Lynch were married by mayor Jack Gabriels in the strictest privacy, in the presence of just both their families.

"There were few people, but the parents of the young couple were present."

Clijsters, who retired from tennis in May (07), announced on her official website earlier this month (Jul07) the couple are expecting their first child in January (08).
