SPICE GIRLS TO ADD BRAZIL TO WORLD TOUR?

Reformed girl band the SPICE GIRLS are set to add Brazil to their World Tour after a national outcry, according to media reports.

The Nineties pop sensations will take in 11 cities around the world starting in Los Angeles on 7 December (07) and ending in Buenos Aires on 24 January (08). There will also be gigs in London, New York, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Sydney, Madrid and Beijing.

But they have landed in trouble in Brazil - with politicians demanding to know why they have been snubbed, reports British newspaper The Sun.

A source tells the paper, "The Spice Girls will make a big announcement next week. Everybody in the Spice camp has been bombarded by Brazilian fans demanding the band bring Girl Power back to Britain.

"Doing Buenos Aires and not Rio would be a faux pas. One of the dates is definitely going to be Brazil."

The band formed in 1995 and sold 55 million albums during their six year stint in the charts. Geri Halliwell left the band in 1998 and the Spice Girls eventually split in 2001.
