STEWART SLAMS RETIREMENT REPORTS

Rocker ROD STEWART has dismissed reports he is retiring, insisting he has just had enough of performing big arena tours.

The Maggie May star's latest stadium tour of his native U.K. is coming to an end this month (Jul07). It follows a "punishing" five month stint on the road in North America.

Stewart now plans to play more intimate venues in the future.

He says, "I'm not retiring, but I won't be doing any tours that long and, to be honest, I can't imagine me doing these big stadiums in Britain anymore.

"I've done them and I've done the other arenas, next time round I'd like to do it in a totally different way."
