HERZOG DEFENDS HIS RECKLESS REPUTATION

Director WERNER HERZOG has played down his reputation for recklessly endangering actors during filming, insisting not one actor has been injured on any of his movie sets.

The Rescue Dawn filmmaker is renowned for being hard on his crews - but claims his film sets are actually very safe.

He says, "Contrary to the rumours that are going around, I'm very professional, very safety orientated.

"In 55 or so films, never has an actor got injured."
