MADONNA GOES GYPSY FOR LIVE EARTH

Pop superstar MADONNA closed the London leg of LIVE EARTH on Saturday with a bizarre remix of her hit La Isla Bonita - performed with New York gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello.

The Material Girl started her set debuting new track Hey You, before singing Ray Of Light and then Isla Bonita, which she sang partly in the Romany language, alongside musicians Eugene Hutz and Yuri Lemeshev. She finished her performance with Hung Up.

Madonna called on the crowd to remember the Live Earth message, saying from the stage, "I'd like to thank Al Gore and Kevin Wall (Live Earth organisers) for giving the world the wake-up call it needs. Let's these concerts aren't about entertainment, and that they start a revolution."
