GORE APPEARS AS A HOLOGRAM IN TOKYO

Live Earth organiser AL GORE appeared onstage at the Tokyo, Japan leg of the charity extravaganza - as a hologram.

The former U.S. vice-president wowed Japanese fans by making a live holographic video appearance from Washington, D.C. on Saturday (07Jul07).

He told the crowd and a TV audience of millions, "Global warming is the greatest challenge facing our planet, and the gravest we've ever faced.

"But it's one problem we can solve if we come together as one and take action and drive our neighbours, businesses and governments to act as well. That's what Live Earth is all about."
