MILLS QUESTIONS PHOTOGRAPHER'S CREDIBILITY IN COURT

LATEST: HEATHER MILLS has fired back at allegations she lied in court, by revealing the photographer accusing her has 132 convictions himself.

Last month (Jun07) Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife claimed photographer Jay Kaycappa, 31, grabbed her shoulder as he attempted to take her photo in a Brighton, England subway in July 2006.

However, Kaycappa's lawyer Anya Lewis, fired back that Mills' allegations were "invented" and produced the 181 date and time-stamped photographs her client took over the course of the alleged assault to prove her point.

The entire sequence of photographs suggests Kaycappa would only have had two seconds to run towards Mills to grab her, before running back to take another image.

However, in Brighton Magistrates Court on Tuesday (03Jul07) Mills retorted the man accusing her of lying is hardly trustworthy, revealing he has a string of previous convictions for theft and fraud.

Her lawyer Dave Sullivan produced a police file charting Kaycappa's criminal activity between 1989 and 2005, which covered 22 sides of paper.

He said, "The issue in this case is clearly one of credibility. We have to assess on one hand the evidence, demeanour and credibility of Ms Mills-McCartney and on the other hand Mr Kaycappa."

The trial continues.
