LLOYD WEBBER'S THEATRE TRIBUTE TO DIANA

Theatre impresario Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has paid tribute to the late Diana, Princess of Wales by putting on a special medley with songs from famed musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats and Phantom of the Opera.

The Concert For Diana - which celebrated what would have been Diana, Princess of Wales' 46th birthday - has so far seen acts including Duran Duran, Status Quo, Lily Allen and Nelly Furtado take to the stage to wow the 63,000 fans at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday (01Jul07).

The collection of theatre classics was performed by American pop star Anastacia, London theatre newcomer Connie Fisher, operatic tenor Andrea Bocelli and theatre star Sarah Brightman.

There was also a medley of songs from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which saw U.S. singer Donny Osmond and former Australian soap star Jason Donovan - two of the most famous men to play the lead role - collaborate with British reality TV winner Lee Mead.

Other stars due to perform at the tribute concert include Kanye West, Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs, and reformed U.K. boyband, Take That.
