Bollywood director ASHVIN KUMAR has created his new film in a bid to highlight the plight of the dwindling big cat population.
The Oscar-nominated moviemaker's Forest tells the tale of a married couple whose fights distract them from the danger of a man-eating leopard.
And Kumar insists he included the storyline featuring the endangered feline to highlight the issue to cinemagoers in a light-hearted way - as he wanted to avoid making an Inconvenient Truth-style documentary on an environmental issue.
He says, "Rather than preaching through wildlife documentaries, I felt I should deliver a message through the medium of an entertaining feature film.
"I have enjoyed the jungles since I was a child but maybe my children won't be able to. That's a big problem."
