LATEST: Hundreds of SIR PAUL McCARTNEY fans have been given a special treat by record store bosses who distributed wristbands for an intimate show earlier than expected.

Staff at Amoeba Records Hollywood were scheduled to give out the 200 entry passes to the special in-store performance by the former Beatle on Wednesday (27Jun07), but decided to distribute them late on Tuesday (26Jun07) evening to prevent fans from having to wait in a queue overnight.

A spokesperson for the store says, "When we saw that more than 200 people had already lined up, we decided to give them out early so they wouldn't have to spend the night on the sidewalk."

McCartney will perform at the record store on Wednesday evening.
