THE WHO PRAISE FANS FOR 'STICKING AROUND' AT GLASTONBURY

Veteran rockers THE WHO praised fans for 'sticking around' to watch their performance which closed the Glastonbury Festival last night (24Jun07).

The band headlined the Pyramid Stage at the legendary event in Somerset, England, and guitarist Pete Townshend thanked festival-goers for staying to watch their set, despite heavy ran and muddy conditions over the duration of the three-day event (22-24Jun07).

He told the crowd, "Thanks for sticking with us.

"It's a shame the weather's been so crap. It's raining. You're fantastic. You really are."
