LAST PROSECUTION WITNESS TAKES STAND IN SPECTOR TRIAL

LATEST: The final prosecution witness in the PHIL SPECTOR murder trial began her testimony at the Los Angeles hearing yesterday (19Jun07).

Lynne Herold, the chief analyst of the evidence against Spector and an employee of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, told the court how blood shapes as it leaves a wound and lands on nearby surfaces.

The forensic scientist is expected to deliver her testimony over the next few days before the prosecution rests its case against Spector.

The defence argues there was not enough blood splatter on the music producer's white jacket for him to have shot victim Lana Clarkson in the foyer of his Alhambra, California home.

Spector is accused of the fatal shooting of Clarkson in February 2003. He has pleaded not guilty and claims Clarkson committed suicide.

The trial continues.
