PAISLEY FLIES IN FOR 'INTIMATE' AIRPORT HANGAR SHOW
Country star BRAD PAISLEY played his oddest gig on Wednesday (13Jun07) - in an airport.
The Whisky Lullaby singer performed for just 100 radio contest winners in a hangar at DuPage Airport near Chicago, Illinois.
And the strangeness of the show wasn't lost on the new dad, who joked, "Isn't it strange the things they do to sell records? This is just odd."
Paisley performed the show, held to promote his new album 5th Gear, with an acoustic guitar and without his backing band.
He flew in on a private jet and took to the stage, asking his adoring fans, "Why aren't you all working, (you) bunch of losers."
He then performed nine songs and chatted with the lucky audience members about each tune and admitted he paid $50 (GBP25) for the designer Star Wars T-shirt he was wearing.
Paisley's new album hits stores on Tuesday (19Jun07).
