LENNON + MCCARTNEY TOP SONGWRITER POLL
JOHN LENNON and PAUL McCARTNEY have beaten MICK JAGGER and KEITH RICHARDS to the top of a new internet survey to find the Best Songwriting Duo of all time.
The Beatles stars beat the Rolling Stones pair and Clash heroes Joe Strummer and Mick Jones to claim the crown in the new Rolling Stone magazine online poll.
Music fans offered their best duos over the weekend and the final top five is:
1. Lennon/McCartney
2. Jagger/Richards
3. Strummer/Jones
4. John/Taupin
5. Marr/Morrissey.
