KEANE NEARLY SPLIT OVER CHAPLIN

British band KEANE were close to splitting after frontman TOM CHAPLIN sought help for alcohol and drug addiction in rehab.

Chaplin checked into prestigious rehab clinic The Priory in London last year (06) to fight his drink and drug demons.

And drummer Richard Hughes reveals the band nearly parted, fearing Chaplin would not recover from his addictions.

Hughes says, "The only thing I cared about during that period was my friend and if he was ever going to be happy again. I didn't care if he was able to sing in the band or not because the band was secondary, it's as simple as that.

"Tom genuinely couldn't be better now, he's look really well."
