The grieving widow of 'DIMEBAG' DARRELL ABBOTT is thrilled after learning a stage at Britain's Download festival would be named after the late guitarist.
The ex-Pantera rocker was shot dead when an obsessed fan went crazy at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio during a Damageplan show in December 2004.
Rita Haney-Abbott was pleased when Download's second stage was named in his honour at the weekend (08/09Jun07).
She tells website NME.com, "It's nice that everyone here (in Britain) remembers him as well. When I found out, it really made me smile. It was a good thing to wake up to.
"There are a hell of a lot of bands who are influenced by Darrell. His musical legacy is massive."
