BOLLYWOOD LEGEND FACES POSSIBLE FRAUD CHARGES
Bollywood superstar AMITABH BACHCHAN is facing possible fraud charges over an illegal farmyard deal.
The actor - dubbed The Big B - is in hot water from Indian state officials over the illegal deal to buy the property in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
Senior state goverment officials want criminal charges to be brought after it was ruled that registering the land under Bachchan's name amounted to fraud.
The actor was given a plot of land by the previous goverment regime headed by Mulayam Singh Yadav, but it was cancelled following allegations of irregularity in the allotment.
However, Bachchan insists the property is vital for his farming duties.
