DOHERTY THREATENS LEGAL ACTION OVER 'NO SHOW'

LATEST: Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY is planning to sue the organisers of a British music festival for repeatedly advertising an appearance by him despite not booking him for the event.

The Babyshambles frontman was criticised by fans for failing to appear at Gatecrasher's Summer Sound System event in Leeds, England last Sunday (27May07).

However, the singer maintains he was never scheduled to perform and is demanding an apology for the incident.

A statement from his spokesperson reads, "Pete's supposed non-show was reported extensively in the media and, despite an admission from Gatecrasher that Pete was never confirmed to appear, they have so far refused to issue a public apology."
