Welsh rockers the MANIC STREET PREACHERS made an emotional return to London venue Astoria on Wednesday night (30May07) - 13 years after their last performance there.
The band's last show at the venue in 1994 was guitarist Richey Edwards' last ever gig with the band before he went missing in February 1995, and at the end of the set they destroyed their equipment on stage.
And on their return to the Astoria, bassist Nicky Wire dedicated Faster to "the genius of Mr Richard Edwards" while James Dean Bradfield stood in Edwards' spot on the stage for A Design For Life.
After performing Die In The Summertime, Wire joked, "Can you remember us doing that in '94? I can't remember us being able to play it that good then."
The investigation into Edwards' disappearance has never been solved.
