DIRECTOR'S HOME RAIDED AS HE EXHIBITS AT CANNES

The Cannes Film Festival ended on a sour note for Russian moviemaker ANDREI NEKRASOV - his home in Finland was ransacked while he was showing his new documentary about murdered former KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko at the film event in France.

Nothing was stolen in the mysterious raid on his Luumaki (corr) home, near Helsinki, but windows were smashed and valuable books and papers were ripped to shreds.

Local police insist there is nothing suspicious about the break-in - such crimes are a common occurrence in the area.
