SCHWARZENEGGER TURNS TERMINATOR WITH TOUGH NEW GANG INITIATIVE
California Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER has recalled his tough TERMINATOR character in a bid to crack down on gang violence in the state.

The former movie star has proposed a new no-tolerance programme aimed at gang members in San Bernardino, which includes tagging and tracking criminals in the same way the state keeps an eye on sex offenders. Schwarzenegger hopes to launch his new initiative by monitoring violent gang parolees with ankle devices - so their every movement can be tracked.
On Friday (25May07), the Governor told politicians in Sacramento, "The worst of the worst will get bracelets so we know exactly where they are and what they are doing.
"If they try to recruit new members or terrorise people in the community, we will know where they are and we will be able to bust them."
