WINEHOUSE FAMILY SHOCKED BY WEDDING
LATEST: British singer AMY WINEHOUSE's wedding was such a big secret she didn't even tell her parents.
The Rehab star exchanged vows with Blake Fielder-Civil on Friday (18May07) during a trip to Miami, Florida, but neglected to tell her family about the ceremony until the nuptials were over.
Her father Mitchell says, "We didn't know about the wedding until they phoned to tell us. To say we were shocked is an understatement.
"I was with Amy last week in Canada and she didn't mention it.
He adds, "I'm not angry, just a bit sad. It's not every day your daughter gets married and it's sad for her mum that she was not there. I would have liked to walk her up the aisle."
The pair are now planning a more formal wedding with friends and family when they return to their native England.
