PRINCE HARRY 'WILL NOT SERVE IN IRAQ

British royal PRINCE HARRY will not be deployed to Iraq, according to senior army officials.

PRINCE HARRY

The young prince - a second lieutenant (cornet) in his army regiment the Blues And Royals - will not be dispatched to the Middle East war zone following ongoing concerns for his safety.

The decision not to send the 22-year-old on duty was reportedly taken by the head of the British army.

Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter tells Sky News, "It's not out of control (in Iraq), but it is extremely serious. They have taken the right decision.

"It's a bitter blow to him. Harry now has to take a long hard look at his army career, although I really do think he will continue with (it)."

Prince Andrew remains the only senior member of the current royal family to serve on the front line, flying helicopters in the Falklands War in 1982.
