DIDDLEY SUFFERS A STROKE

Veteran musician BO DIDDLEY is in intensive care after suffering a stroke.

The singer-songwriter/guitarist, who has a history of hypertension and diabetes, is in guarded condition at Creighton University Medical Centre in Omaha, Nebraska, according to his publicist Susan Clary.

She added the 78-year-old star was admitted to hospital after a concert in Council Bluffs, west Iowa, on Sunday night (13May07) because he was acting "disorientated".

Tests have indicated the stroke has affected the left side of the musician's brain, impairing his speech, however Clary said there were no other details available on Diddley's health or when he will be released from intensive care.
