The Ardrossan estate which inspired the setting for classic movie THE PHILADELPHIA STORY has been put on the market.
The sprawling Pennsylvania property was a retreat for the rich and famous for much of the last century and was replicated in part for the home of Katharine Hepburn's character in the 1940 Oscar-winning movie.
Edgar Scott III, the spokesman for the Scott family, who are selling the property told The Philadelphia Inquirer that no one has a price in mind for the 360-acre estate, but the sale would largely depend on what a prospective buyer wanted to do with the estate.
