R. KELLY'S WIFE STAYS LOYAL TO ESTRANGED HUSBAND

R. KELLY's estranged wife ANDREA will remain loyal to the R+B superstar for the sake of their three children, no matter what the outcome of his child pornography trial.

Andrea Kelly separated from her husband in 2005. The singer was charged with 21 counts of child pornography five years ago (02), but his case has yet to come to trial.

Andrea insists she will always be on Kelly's side, because her bond with the singer is permanent.

She tells US magazine Essence, in her first interview since Kelly was charged, "I'm no fair-weather wife. I have children. I would never do anything to hurt their father.

"We have a bond that we will have for the rest of our lives because we have children. ... That we filed for divorce is not that important.

"I'll tell you, whatever happens to us, I will love that man to the day I die."

However, Andrea won't be attending R. Kelly's trial because she needs to look after their kids.

She says, "I will take care of the home front. There is a war going on, and they don't send every soldier to Iraq. I've got to be homeland defence."
