LAWLESS: 'CHEST PAIN STORY IS A SICK RUMOUR'
W.A.S.P. frontman BLACKIE LAWLESS has hit back at reports he was forced to cut short a show in Sweden last weekend (28Apr07) after suffering chest pains, calling the rumour "sick".
Reports in a Scandinavian newspaper suggested the rocker ended a gig in Karlskrona early and was taken to a nearby hospital after falling ill onstage.
But Lawless, who cancelled a series of European festival shows last summer (06) after he was diagnosed with an abnormality in one of the arteries leading to his heart, has posted a message on the band's website, insisting he is "perfectly fine," adding, "This is just a sick rumor (sic)."
In a statement released to website BlabberMouth.net, the singer says, "Once again someone is trying to kill me off before my time... God willing, I am going to be around a long time."
