MONKEY'S MAKE ALBUM HISTORY

THE ARCTIC MONKEYS have made record history with all eleven tracks of their new album FAVOURITE WORST NIGHTMARE landing inside the top 200 of the UK Single charts.

Not only did their album top the UK album chart, but all the songs on the record found their way into the singles chart on downloads alone.

Despite the lead single Brainstorm slipping from two to seven in the chart, it is still a remarkable achievement.

Gennaro Castaldo of music retailer HMV says: "You'd probably have to go back to the hey-day of the Beatles in the early-mid 60s to find anything that could come close to matching this."

In other news, Beyonce and Shakira remained top of the single charts with Beautiful Liar - while Avril Lavigne and former number one Timbaland both climbed one place to number two and three.

Mika moved from 18 to six with Love Today - his follow up to number one debut Grace Kelly.
