ARCTIC MONKEYS ON TRACK TO MAKE CHART HISTORY

British rockers the ARCTIC MONKEYS are set to make chart history on Sunday (29Apr07), when they become the first band to have every track from their new album feature in the UK singles chart.

All 12 songs from Favourite Worst Nightmare are already in the top 150, while six singles from their debut album have re-entered the top 200 from digital downloads online.

If all 18 tracks remain in the UK singles chart this Sunday, they will hold the record for the most tracks in the chart at any one time.

The group has already smashed another record in the UK after scoring over 85,000 sales of Favourite Worst Nightmare in its first day.

The disc has already become the fastest-selling album of the year (07) and retail experts expect the release to chart at number one with 250,000 sales this Sunday, leaving it well placed to become the biggest album of 2007.

The group's debut album, Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not, sold 363,735 copies in its week of release last year (06), including 108,000 on the first day.
