Hip-hop star DJ DRAMA will be forced to change his stage name, if a music maker in Chicago, Illinois, is proven to be the originator of the moniker.
The rap DJ, who has worked under the name DJ Drama for several years, might have to release his major label debut Gangsta Grillz: The Album under a different pseudonym.
However, the name change hasn't bothered the official turntablist of T.I., because he believes his fan base is large enough to recognise his music whatever moniker it is put out with.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "I've got a little situation with my name. There's some DJ in Chicago that wants to say that he's DJ Drama. He made a phone call to my record label, and we're being held up on that. I don't want anybody to be shocked if the album comes out and it says DJ Dramatic or DJ Dram.
"Everybody knows who DJ Drama is and everybody knows what I do."
