ACTOR CHARGED WITH KILLING GIRLFRIEND'S CAT
Baseball ace-turned-actor JOE PETCKA was charged with killing his girlfriend's cat in a New York City court on Friday (13Apr07).
Petcka, who appeared in an episode of Sex And The City, was arrested on Wednesday (11Apr07) for allegedly punching the tabby cat belonging to his partner, Sports Illustrated journalist Lisa Altobelli at her Manhattan apartment on 27 March (07).
The former New York Mets Minor League player was released on bail from Manhattan Criminal Court on Friday after he was charged with felony cruelty to animals.
He faces up to two years in prison if convicted, the New York Daily News reports.
