EDDIE VAN HALEN's teenage son is relieved his father checked into rehab rather than hit the road - because the youngster isn't ready for sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll yet.
WOLFGANG VAN HALEN, 16, was recruited as the group's bass player at the beginning of the year (07), but the youngster insists he needs more time to get ready for a tour.
He tells People magazine, "My dad's taking care of himself. I also think I'm too young for the experience, because I know there are a lot of bad things out there."
Eddie Van Halen postponed the rock group's reunion tour before checking into a rehab facility last month (MAR07) to deal with his alcoholism.
