SLY STONE BEATS THE ODDS IN LAS VEGAS
Funk icon SLY STONE is literally beating the odds in Las Vegas after showing up for a reunion concert with his FAMILY BAND.
Bookmakers in Sin City were offering 45-1 that reclusive Stone would not show up for the Flamingo Las Vegas concert on 31 March (07), as billed, but the eccentric star was there to front his group.
Comedian GEORGE WALLACE who booked the eccentric star and his band claims Stone performed for 30 minutes and then personally thanked fans sitting on the centre aisle at the venue as he left the auditorium.
Stone's sister CYNTHIA ROBINSON, who has been touring with the Family Band since the funk star's departure, insists a full reunion is near: "He has been rehearsing with us, and he's been having a good time."
