GONG WANTS TO BE WESTERN STAR

MIAMI VICE actress GONG LI is focusing on developing her career in Hollywood, after complaining directors in her native China take too long to make a movie.

GONG LI

Li was advised by director ex-lover ZHANG ZIYOU to stick to Chinese movies, but the stunning actress prefers the fast-paced Western film industry.

She says, "There are more opportunities for me in the West. Every few days, someone will send me a script or talk to me about a new movie.

"The new Chinese directors work more slowly than Western directors. It takes them longer to set up their movies."
