STERN'S SIBLINGS BLAST ANNA NICOLE'S MUM
HOWARD K. STERN's brother and sister have slammed ANNA NICOLE SMITH's estranged mother VIRGIE ARTHUR after she filed for guardianship of her granddaughter in the Bahamas yesterday (04APR07).
Stern has been looking after Anna Nicole's baby daughter since the tragic model died in February (07) and he's determined to make sure Arthur doesn't get custody of the child.
But the former police officer isn't prepared to back down without a fight - and she filed official papers in the Bahamas yesterday in an effort to become little DANNIELYNN's guardian once a paternity battle between Stern and Anna Nicole's ex-boyfriend LARRY BIRKHEAD is resolved next week (beg09APR07).
But Stern's brother GARY states, "Howard has committed his life to making sure that Dannielynn has the very best, and Virgie, being her guardian, would not fit that description."
Meanwhile, appearing on US news show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, Stern's sister BONNIE told Arthur, "You will never get that baby, never, over our dead body."
Bonnie also posed questions about how Arthur is able to afford her court battle and her stay in the Bahamas: "She's staying in hotels that she can definitely not afford on the amount of money that she says that she makes."
