WESTERN STAR MERRICK DEAD AT 85

B-movie star LYNN MERRICK has died after a long illness. She was 85.

The actress, born MARILYN MERRICK LLEWELLING, appeared in more than 40 movies, mostly westerns, in the 1940s, including DEAD MAN'S GULCH and TWO GUN SHERIFF.

When her acting career ended in the 1950s, Merrick turned her attention to the world of fashion and became a director for the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York.
