British pop band the SPICE GIRLS have been accused of only being interested in a reunion 'for the money', after reportedly demanding GBP1 million ($1.95 million) per show, according to British newspaper The Sunday Express.
The WANNABE stars, who split in 2000, are said to be in talks for a TAKE THAT-style comeback tour, but promoters are weary of backing the shows because they fear they will never be able to recoup the costs of staging the concerts.
A source says, "The difference is that Take That weren't just in it for the money. They worked hard, wrote a new album and made their show a great spectacle.
"No one is convinced that the Spice Girls can still do that.
"The money they want will leave nothing for the promoters. Nobody wants to take them on."
