HARD-WORKING CAMPBELL PRAISED

NAOMI CAMPBELL has wowed sanitation bosses by working hard during her first day of community service in New York City.

The former supermodel yesterday (19MAR07) began a five day sentence mopping floors at the city's Sanitation Department - but showed no sign of the diva behaviour that landed her the sentence, after she was convicted of throwing a mobile phone at her maid.

Colleagues at the site claim Campbell has worked harder than many regular staff members.

An employee tells British newspaper The Sun, "She worked really hard and asked the supervisor, 'How am I doing?' He told her she was working harder than some regular staff.

"But some of the women who work here have been a bit catty and say they are going to make extra mess for her to clean."
