British singer LILY ALLEN turned hypocrite at the South By Southwest festival on Wednesday night (14MAR07) after turning up to a show drunk just weeks after insisting she wasn't a heavy boozer.

The SMILE singer performed a lacklustre late show in Austin, Texas which started with her staggering onstage with a bottle of beer and a cigarette, apologising to fans for being drunk "because it's 11 o'clock."
She then blasted her show's co-sponsor, British music magazine New Musical Express, after editors reportedly chose to put rock group MUSE on the cover of the magazine instead of a photoshoot featuring Allen, THE GOSSIP's BETH DITTO and KAREN O of the YEAH YEAH YEAHS to celebrate NME's annual "cool list" in November last year (06).
The singer hissed, "Everyone from the NME can f**k off!" And she picked on one reporter at the show, giggling he had "the smallest penis ever seen."
She ended her showcase reminding the sold-out 1,500-capacity crowd, "I just want to say once again how much I hate NME."
In a recent Entertainment Weekly article Allen slammed fellow British singer AMY WINEHOUSE for her partying ways, insisting that her own wild days are behind her.
She said, "I think I have a reputation of being a bad role model for kids (and) yet nobody's ever had a picture of me rolling out of a nightclub at five in the morning completely out of my head on Ecstasy and coked out of my brains."
