SPICE GIRLS STAR HOSTS BABY SHOWER AMID MURPHY PATERNITY BATTLE

Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN put her paternity battle with EDDIE MURPHY to one side on Friday (09MAR07) to host a baby shower party in Los Angeles.

The WANNABE singer, who claims Murphy is the father of her unborn baby, hosted a shower at the Beverly Hills Hotel and treated 30 guests to champagne and cake.

Meanwhile, in a Chicago radio interview last week (ends09MAR07), Oscar-nominee Murphy's current girlfriend TRACEY EDMONDS insisted she has no problems if her man is the father of the Spice Girl's baby - and neither does he.

She said, "It's like their business that's going on. There'll be a paternity test and if it's his (baby) his then he'll be responsible."
