REGENT RELEASING THEATRICAL SCHEDULE

Updated theatrical relesing schedule, as of March 5, 2007

UNCONSCIOUS (in theaters now)

Leonor Watling and Luis Tosar in 'Unconscious'

Director: Joaquin Oristrell
Cast: Leonor Watling, Luis Tosar, Alex Brendemuhl, Mercedes Sampietro, Nuria Prims, Ana Rayo, Juanjo Puigcorb, Marieta Orozco

Synopsis: Joaquin Oristrell abandons his usual contemporary urban comedies to write and direct this delightful period comedy that questions sexual taboos in Barcelona in the early 20th century. With the beginnings of psychoanalysis and a visit from Freud as leit-motiv and background, brother and sister-in-law Salvador and Alma get involved in a search for her suddenly missing husband and a Sherlock Holmes kind of adventure, where hypnosis, love, danger, and every imaginable taboo are all intertwined.

Leonor Watling (Bad Education) is simply outstanding as nine-months pregnant Alma, a neurotic yet lovable character that lets Watling show her great skill as a comedienne. In his first truly comedic role, Luis Tosar confirms himself as one of Spain's greatest actors. The couple's terrific chemistry together helps make this film from Spain a rare and special treasure.

SHOW BUSINESS (May 11, 2007)

Boy George and Rosie O'Donnell in 'Show Business'

Director: Dori Berinstein
Cast: Alan Cumming, Boy George, Rosie O'Donnell, Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Jeff Marx & Bobby Lopez, Jeanine Tesori, Euan Morton, Raul Esparza, Tony Kushner, Tonya Pinkins, Casts of Wicked, Avenue Q, Taboo, Caroline, or Change

Synopsis: "Show Business" documents four original Broadway musicals from a backstage perspective: "Wicked," the retelling of "The Wizard of Oz" from the witches' perspective; "Avenue Q," in which puppets give life lessons intended for adults; "Taboo," the glamorous saga of Boy George's musical career; and Tony Kushner's highly personal story about a black maid working for a Jewish family in the south, called "Caroline, or Change." Berinstein seems to have unlimited access to the actors, rehearsals and final productions. She captures the dreams of the dream makers from inception, all the way up to the crowning glory of the Tony Awards. With a sure hand, she conveys both the creative and technical challenges of preparing a production for the towering inferno known as Broadway. As we follow each of these shows from inspiration to opening night, the truth of the notion that theater rests on the passion of its practitioners is borne out.
